Road Trip to Seabrook, Washington
Where is Seabrook, WA
Seabrook is located just south of Pacific Beach, WA. The town was founded in 2004 and in my own words, I describe this town as something you would read in story books. The community is very well thought out with beautiful homes, amenities and very easy access to the beach. This is a vacation for a family that is looking for a beautiful, relaxing, low key vacation where you don’t have a plan to have a great time.
How to get there
If you live in the state of Washington, Idaho, or Oregon, driving to Seabrook is pretty feasible. We road tripped from Spokane, WA and it’s about 6.5 hours straight. For context, it took us about 7.5-8 hours to get there with our 6 month old baby and 9 year old pup.
If you’re outside these areas, you’ll fly into Seattle and will need to rent a car to drive to the coast. It’s about a 2.5-3 hour drive.
How long did we stay?
Our trip was 2 nights and 1.5 days. This trip was a super last minute, spur of the moment booking and my only regret is that we didn’t stay a night or two longer.
Accommodations
We stayed at the Sorry Knot Sorry Seabrook Airbnb. I didn’t think an Airbnb could be this prepared with what you need to feel right at home. The hosts literally everything you may need to have the best time in this town! Here are just a few things that stood out to me the most:
All the outdoor activities supplies
Bikes
Scooters
Pickleball
Beach Towels
Portable Speakers
Beach chairs
Refer to airbnb listing
Great Outdoor Area
Comfy seating area
Outdoor dining
Firepit
Hot tub
Rocking Chairs
Cornhole
And more!
Kitchen is stocked up with all the kitchen gadgets silverware and disposable items
Other honorable mentions:
Bedrooms are very comfy
Master king
Second room queen and twin bunk (but a nice built in bunk bed)
Very dog friendly and this airbnb incorporated it’s amenities to tailor your pups
Very nicely furnished, didn’t skimp and all the furniture is comfortable
Feels nice and private
This place if you forgot something, this airbnb probably has it!
Where to eat
There are a few restaurants in seabrook and you can find that list here. We tried Frontager’s Pizza Co. and we highly recommend the chicken bacon ranch pizza!
If we were to do this trip again, we’d actually shop at the Safeway in Aberdeen (221 W Heron St, Aberdeen, WA 98520) that’s about 45 minutes away from Seabrook. Since the restaurant selection is limited and they close quite early, we’d do most of our meals at the Airbnb. (PS. Sorry Knot Sorry also has a grill!)
What to do
The town itself has all the amenities you would want in a coastal town. There is an indoor pool, outdoor pool, shops, parks, pickleball courts, basketball courts, hikes, tennis, and of course, the beach!
Since we were only there for 1.5 days, we spend most of our time at the beach, the airbnb and at the indoor pool.
Baby Friendly?
Seabrook and the Sorry Knot Sorry Airbnb were very baby friendly. We had our 6 month old baby girl with us so she didn’t need much for entertainment. We walked the beach with her and swam in the indoor pool and that pretty much put a fork in her!
If we did have older children, it wouldn’t have worried me one bit as there were so many activities to do for every age group.
Ranking
On a scale of 1-10, I would rate Seabrook as an 8! Why the 2 point deduction? Although I think this was a really great trip, I’m not 100% sure if I would necessarily choose to fly to Seabrook if I didn’t live close enough to drive. I will say, since we did visit I can see ourselves coming back a few years from now to show our girl where we took our first vacation as a family.
Bottom Line
Seabrook is like a large neighborhood with all the amenities to keep you family entertained OUTSIDE. I imagine this destination is good for a staycation, larger family reunion or an event like a wedding! The town is almost exclusively vacation rentals so you can either rent a larger home to fit multiple families or each family can rent their own home while being a bike ride away from each other.
Where should we go next?
